For over 15 years, Mimi has been teaching Baby Sign Language to hearing babies and the families that love them. She loves to teach, write, and talk about signs and how amazing they can be for early language development.
Words by the Handful is her company, the name of her Baby Sign Language children's book series, and her encouraging philosophy about signing: Even a handful of signs can have a big impact.
Mimi is a native of Louisiana, a former U.S. Diplomat, and an adventurer who has traveled the world and collected languages along the way. She has always loved storytelling, words, and talking. Her teaching base is in Houston, where she lives with her family.
